Create Your First Website
This guide walks you through the complete flow from scratch to a generated website. It takes about 10–15 minutes, most of which is waiting for AI generation.
Prerequisites
Required
None. You can start creating and designing a website directly; you do not need to buy a domain or pay first.
Recommended to Prepare in Advance
If you want the first generation to be close to satisfactory, it helps to think through the following first:
| Preparation Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Business positioning | What you do, who the audience is, and what you want visitors to do |
| Page list | Roughly which pages are needed |
| Visual preference | Style (minimalist/business/lively) |
| Assets | Company logo, product images, company address and phone number, etc. |
About Domains
A domain is only needed when publishing. We recommend binding a domain purchased from NamesLink.
Step 1: Go to the New Website Page
Click "New Website" in the console to enter the creation form.
The top of the page shows:
Generate a website with one click and publish it easily. Tell AI what kind of website you want, and it can go live in minutes.
The form contains three required fields and one optional field.
Step 2: Fill in the Website Name
Field: Website name (required)
Give your website a name. This name is used to distinguish sites in the console and can be changed later.
Suggestion: Use a recognizable name such as "XX Company Official Website" or "Double Eleven Campaign Page" instead of "Test 1" or "New Website." This saves effort when you have many sites.
Step 3: Select a Scenario
Field: Scenario selection (required)
Choose the closest option from the following:
| Scenario | Suitable For |
|---|---|
| Personal resume / portfolio | Personal resumes, personal homepages, portfolio showcases |
| Brand official website | Company introductions, brand displays, service introductions |
| Corporate official website | Company introductions |
| Event and conference promotion | Event promotion, conference invitations, registration pages |
| Personal blog | Personal blogs |
| Other | You can fill in the website purpose you need |
Step 4: Fill in the Description
Field: Description (required)
This is the most critical step that determines generation quality. The input placeholder says "Please describe the website scenario and features you want to achieve."
How to Write the Description
A good description usually contains four elements:
① Who I am (industry + scale/characteristics)
② What pages I want
③ What features I want
④ What style I want
Comparison Examples
❌ Description too simple
Make a coffee shop website.
AI lacks judgment basis and can only give a generic result, requiring a lot of later modification.
✅ Description sufficient
I opened a pet-friendly café in Hangzhou with 6 cats in the store. I need four pages:
- Homepage: highlight the "pet-friendly" and "has cats" features, with store environment photos
- Menu: coffee and desserts, with prices displayed
- Cat introductions: 6 cats, each with a photo, name, and personality description
- Online booking: select date and time slot, leave phone number, indicate whether bringing a pet
Style should be warm and cute, primary color warm yellow, rounded corners, not too business-like font.
Such a description usually reaches 80% satisfaction in one generation.
Use "AI Help Me Generate" to Complete the Description
If you do not know how to write it, you can:
- Write a few sentences of core information first.
- Click the "AI Help Me Generate" button.
- The page shows "AI is generating description…" and will soon expand it into a complete, structured description.
- Manually adjust it on this basis to what you want.
This feature is especially suitable when you "know what you want but are not good at expressing it."
Step 5: Upload Reference Files (Optional)
Field: Upload files
You can upload materials to help AI understand your needs, such as:
- Company logo
- Existing PRD or requirement documents
- Company introduction, product materials
- Reference design screenshots
Upload Limits:
| Limit Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Single file size | Maximum 10 MB |
| Number of files | Maximum 10 |
| File formats | As listed on the page prompt |
If exceeded, you will be prompted "File size exceeds limit, single file maximum 10 MB, maximum 10 files" or "Incorrect file format."
Practical tip: After uploading a logo, AI will try to extract the brand color scheme from the logo to make the whole site more visually unified. If you have a mature PRD, uploading it directly is more efficient than typing the description.
Step 6: Start Building
Click the "Start Building" button. The button changes to "Building…" and enters the AI conversation phase.
Step 7: Confirm Requirements with AI
The page shows "Confirming requirements with you…" and then AI will ask you questions to fill in missing information from the description.
Forms of Questions
AI questions may take any of the following forms:
| Form | Description |
|---|---|
| Single choice | Choose one from given options |
| Multiple choice | Marked "(multiple choice)," multiple options allowed |
| Fill in the blank | Enter content directly |
| Custom input | Besides options, you can enter your own answer |
| Upload file | Prompts "Upload relevant materials for supplementation, supporting company logo, company address, company phone, and company introduction" |
After answering, click "Submit."
Two Key Choices
During the follow-up questions, the interface provides two buttons. Understanding their difference is important:
| Button | Function | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| Continue to refine requirements | Let AI continue asking more detailed questions | Your description is brief and you want AI to help you think it through |
| Generate requirements document directly | Skip follow-up questions and generate the PRD immediately | Your description is already detailed and you do not want to answer more questions |
Suggestion: If the description in Step 4 is relatively complete, you can directly click "Generate requirements document directly" to save time and Credits. Otherwise, answering a few more rounds of questions will make the result closer to expectations.
Step 8: Confirm the Requirements Document (PRD)
AI will generate a requirements document (PRD). The page shows "Generating requirements document…" and you can view it on the right when done.
The PRD includes:
- Website overall positioning and target users
- Page structure list
- Section and feature descriptions for each page
- Visual style description
Please Read This Step Carefully
The PRD is your only low-cost error-correction opportunity. At this point, modifying requirements consumes almost no extra resources; once code is generated, changes must go through the AI conversation modification process, consuming Credits and taking longer.
Checklist:
- Is the page list complete? Are any needed pages missing?
- Are there any redundant pages?
- Are key features (forms, booking, member login) all included?
- Does the visual style description match expectations?
Modify the PRD
Before generation, you can click "Edit Requirements Document" to directly modify the content. Confirm after editing.
After confirming it is correct, click "Generate App Now" and confirm again with "Confirm Generate App."
Step 9: Wait for Generation
The page shows "Creating your website…" and displays AI's work progress in real time.
Execution Process You Will See
The generation process is transparent. The interface shows the specific tasks AI is executing:
| Display Content | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Task executing… | Processing |
| N tasks executed | Cumulative completed tasks |
| New content / Edited content | Creating or modifying files |
| Wrote N lines / +N lines / -N lines | Code change volume |
| Configuring backend services | Building server-side capabilities |
| Executing SQL statements / Getting table info | Creating and configuring the database |
| Calling plugin skills | Calling specialized function plugins |
| Preview page | Generated pages can be previewed |
| Current progress XX % | Overall progress |
Generation Time
It usually takes a few minutes to over ten minutes, depending on:
- Number of pages and feature complexity of the website
- Whether database and backend logic are involved
- Current platform task queue status
You can leave the page: Generation tasks run on the server. Closing the page does not affect progress. Come back later to check.
Possible Interruption Prompts
During generation, if you encounter the following situations, a popup will ask you to choose:
| Prompt | Handling |
|---|---|
| Credits quota used up | Click "Recharge now," then click "Payment completed" after recharging; the task continues |
| Current plan capability limited (database) | Upgrade plan, or choose "Skip database calls and continue generating" |
| Premium plugin upgrade prompt | Upgrade plan, or choose "Skip plugin calls and continue generating" |
| Database space insufficient / Space limit reached | Upgrade plan or clean up data before continuing |
Step 10: View the Result
After generation is complete, you can enter three entry points through the top navigation bar:
| Entry | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Preview | View the website effect, switch between desktop and mobile views |
| Edit | Enter the visual editor to directly change text and images |
| Manage | Enter the backend to configure domain, manage content, and configure SEO |
At the same time, you can continue to make requests in the chat box to let AI modify the website.
